How to view the headers of an email

Outlook 2010/2013

1. Open the message that you want to see the headers
2. In the " Message " identify the group " Indicators " in the Ribbon
3. Click on the icon in the lower right (rectangle with an arrow pointing down) angle to launch the dialog " Message Options "
4. The headers appear in the " Internet headers "

Earlier versions of Outlook

1. Open the message that you want to see the headers
2. Expand the menu " Display " and select " Options "

Thunderbird

1. Select or open the message that you want to see the headers
2. Expand the menu " Display " and select " Message Source Code "

1. Select the message that you want to see the headers
2. Expand the menu " Introduction "
3. Select " Message " and " Long Headers "

Headers appear in the window below your inbox .

Web Messaging ( Webmail )

AOL

1. Open the message that you want to see the headers
2. In the menu " Action ", select " View Message Source "

2. Click on the downward facing arrow next to " Reply " at the top of the message panel
3. Select " Show original "

3. Select " View Message Source "
